Level 1 Partnering Class
A common misunderstanding about Casino is that it is only done as a group (i.e., Rueda de Casino).
​
In reality, many of the calls you learn in the Rueda can be led and followed in a partner setting, and you'll find yourself partner dancing 95% of the time at places where Casino-style dance is held. Obviously, the concepts you learn in this class will help you if you end up taking Rueda classes, as well!

You'll learn:

How to communicate with your partner as a lead and follow

The necessary footwork you need to know for all the foundation Casino turn patterns

The differences between Timba music and salsa music

Level 2 Partnering Class
For those of you who have the basics down, we'll open things up a bit! We'll cover the following:

More sequences that can chain the basic turns from the Beginner Level Class together
-
How to lead and follow the three other turns that are specific to Casino
-
Further discussion on how Casino differs from other styles of salsa
Requirements:
-
Can execute Enchulfa, Dile Que No, and Exhibe with no issues;
-
Completion of all three (3) units of the Beginner Partner Class; OR
-
Instructor approval.
​This class is done in a monthly cycle. No drop-ins after the first week without the instructor's green light.

Level 3 Partnering Class
Now the playbook really opens up.
Learn the following Advanced concepts:

Cleaning up the communication between lead and follow

Advanced Footwork (for both leads and follows)

Advanced Handwork (for both leads and follows)

Body isolations and other ways to add sabor to your Casino

Higher-level concepts you can take with you to other advanced Casino Classes
Requirements:

Completion of all three (3) units in the Intermediate Partner Class,

1+ years of experience in Casino or Rueda de Casino, OR
-
Instructor Approval

This class is by invite only. It is not taught at VMAC, but at another location.
